TVO Traces History of Literacy in New Documentary

TVO is exploring the history and impact of reading in its new documentary, Empire of the Word.  From prehistoric peoples writing on cave walls to the Internet – the documentary traces readings’ origins; examines how we learn to read; exposes censors’ attempts to prevent our reading; and finally, proposes what the future might hold for this creative act.

Trudy Lothian, President and Chair of the OLC Board of Directors, appeared on TVO’s The Agenda with Steve Paikin on Wednesday, November 25 to help introduce the documentary. Trudy did an amazing job as part of a large panel discussing reading and issues around literacy. She talked in length about the challenges of learning as an adult. Adult Mag Pics Preview

Very early post today guys! Woot! I’ve just seen 3 of the pictures that were taken in my nude glamour photoshoots for the adult mens magazines and thought I would share the previews:

If that makes any sense? It makes me sound naive I know, but as I said it’s hard to explain on the internet where it is so easy to misinterpret everything.

I understand that not every cuckold is into their cucoldress loving another man, but I know a LOT out there who are too. It is not that he will lose me because I am involved with another man, in our situation I was involved with my teacher, but living with my cuck and loved him more and still played with/had sex with him. A lot of cuckolds love the idea of their woman treating them as second best, being in a relationship with another man, pregnancy, etc. On the other side, some cuckolds are not into this at all. I’ll make this perfectly clear that my cuckold loves the idea, I would never do anything he was not ok with. Anyway I’ll talk more about what happened with that next post.

Book Talk Vol. 11

Hello Loves!

Welcome to Book Talk Volume 11!

Within the past few weeks, I met a new friend at school: Michelle. Now, Michelle loves to read and I work at a library. So, I grab a few books for her when I can. In the past week, I grabbed one of her favorite author’s: Zane. It was called Skyscraper. It’s an older novel that I read a year or so ago but still a great read.

In this African-Amercian Fiction novel, Zane has set up a list of characters that are are involved with a man’s, Thomalis, business. You have her wife Zetta; a woman who knows how to get around town. His best friend Barron; a man who he couldn’t imagine living without. His assistant Bradford; a pompous and rude man who thinks the company should be his. Bradford’s assistant Diana; the mother of male twins and a woman who needs a love life. Then there’s Anastasia, Zora, Chico, Donald. . . and many more!

The annual Christmas party is coming up sooner than the employees think. Everyone is ready to get want they want: sex, money, and revenge. Although everyone thinks they know whats going on, only Thomalis is ready to reveal what he worth.

Skyscraper is a mature novel but an excellent read nontheless. I can’t say anymore without revealing crucial parts of the book. You’ll have to read it for yourself!

We can’t take our emotions for granted.  They govern our behavior, even when we don’t realize it.  Immature families, especially when under stress, communicate that feelings are wrong.  Family members react to each other.  The overriding message is, “You shouldn’t feel what you’re feeling.”  (Dr. Randy Reynolds, child psychologist)

I hear ya!  Emotions—especially strong ones—intensify and magnify issues.  Emotions finger point—”It’s your fault, not mine!”  Emotions=the ego, one upsmanship (feel free to disagree).

“Emotions, however, when handled appropriately, can promote positive change.”  (Dr. Reynolds)

Really?  How?

• Empathize.  Validate your child’s feelings but stand firm on your decision: “It sounds like you’re frustrated because I won’t let you wear jeans today.  I know that’s hard for you, but I’m not going to change my mind.”
• Discipline, don’t punish.  Discipline is patient and goal-oriented; punishment is motivated by anger or reactivity.

 What else?

• Affirm, acknowledge, respect, create a sense of belonging, and appreciate each other.  Full emotional tanks give members room to express themselves.  Relax.  Enjoy simple pleasures.
• As families mature, they shame each other less and respond to each other more.  They listen to others without reacting.  They assert without antagonizing.  They set realistic expectations.  Families know they’re interdependent on others.  They flex with the normal stresses of life.

“Learn to own your feelings.  Don’t blame others when you communicate.  Begin sentences with ‘I’ messages, not ‘you’ . . . ’I feel . . . when . . .’“

Sex with animals is perfectly legal in Belgium

 No, you did not stumble upon a XXX rated website. Yesterday a judge in Antwerp set a 37 yo man free who had engaged in sexual activities with countless dogs since 1997. Apparently Belgium has no laws regarding sex with animals. The man, an employee at a local animal asylum, was arrested after posting several of his home-made bestiality shots online. However, posting bestiality shots is not legal overhere, so the ‘offender’ was fined 500 EURO (…). The court labeled the man’s behavior “morally repulsive”, but found no legal grounds to convict him, as he had clearly not shown the intention to “inflict physical or emotional damage” upon the dogs  under his care. (…) Gaia, Belgium’s defenders of animal welfare reacted furiously. So, animal lovers worldwide, if you feel like expressing your love for your pet in a more sexual way, like I do,  just visit Belgium. So I’d walked past this building on the Forest Road end of Hoe Street many times. It’s all black with a big set of lips over the entrance. Well I did some digging and it turns out it’s a swingers club.
